Highly collectible full size barrel Sadler teapot featuring an 17th century scene of a lady playing the lute, a popular musical instrument at the time. 2 distinguished guests look on while enjoying afternoon tea in a wooded area. Portrait graces both sides of the teapot which is finished with an elegant thick gold trim, fine detailing, and a bow top finale. Lovely colors make it the ideal teapot choice to fit most tea sets settings.
Gorgeous hard to find teapot defies age. Reportedly rarely used, she is in excellent vintage condition. No crazing, chips, or tea stains. RARE to find this teapot style in this wonderful condition. She does not look like she was ever used!
Stamped Sadler, Made in England.
Measures: Teapot 9.5" wide from handle to spout x 6" tall. She does have a glaze bubble on her spout that was made during manufacturing and is not considered damage. Please see last picture. Teapots made during this time often displayed manufacture defects.
